About Us

Award of Excellence Nature's Reflections Landscaping Ltd. (NRL) has been in operation since February 2006. NRL was founded by owner Ben Floyd after working several years in the industry and studying horticulture at Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology. Ben's knowledge of plants, the growing "green" need of customers and the desire to offer something different and unique is why Nature's Reflections Landscaping was founded.

Ben and the team of highly knowledgeable staff have established a company which can make your landscaping vision a reality. Nature's Reflections Landscaping has developed a reputation for precision quality and customer involvement on the South Shore. Each year the team continues to build upon our successes. As you can see from the Galleries of recently completed work, as well as the list of Services offered by us, NRL will bring your daydreams to life.

Nature's Reflections is also very proud to be a community supporter of many local non profit organizations.

Our Team

Ben Floyd

Ben was born and raised on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Ben's love and interest for nature and the horticulture industry developed at a very young age. He has worked with the industry at several levels throughout his career, including three years as a greenhouse worker during high school. Ben has been actively involved with his community throughout his life. Whether it was volunteering with the local fire department, or volunteering with the 4-H program as a leader, Ben has held his share of positions on committees helping for the betterment of his community.

Ben graduated from Park View Education Centre in 2002, and followed his career dreams to Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. For two years this is where he called home, studying Horticulture. Upon graduation from Niagara College in 2004, Ben's love for the East Coast brought him back home with a greenhouse grower position at Pine View Farms.

In the spring of 2006 Ben set out to establish a landscape and property maintenance company of his own on the South Shore. Ben founded Nature's Reflections Landscaping, the name was something that reflected his outlook on nature, but was also something different. Ben's goal was to provide a level of service different to South Shore, but also with an educational background to guarantee his clients with only the highest quality of service.

Ben enjoys spending time outside, at the beach with his golden retriever Maggie, camping, and times with friends and family

Debbie Dauphinee

Debbie is a born and bred Lunenburger. She began her life in the outdoors upon graduation from Lunenburg High in 1986 by beginning her own lawn mowing/gardening business. Debbie's knowledge of "all things green and flowery" comes from years of experience of working on her own, listening and learning from Ruby Stewart [former neighbour, artist, gardener], and working with others in the landscaping field.

She is a member of the local Campsite committee for the Girl Guides of Canada and had been a basketball coach for several years at Lunenburg High. Her love of sports, especially the Canadiens, Red Sox and Duke Blue Devils, has led to a lot of fun bantering and betting.

Debbie is new to the team at NRL and is looking forward to "saying hi" to the new faces coming her way this season.

Warren Sarty

Warren was born and raised in the local Bridgewater area. For 21 years he was a man of the sea, fishing scallops and ground fish. He also co-owned a fishing trawler with his brother for 7 years. Warrens love for boats and the sea lead him to employment with Snyder's Shipyard where he helped build "Thedore Too" and "Abailgail Grace". During Warren's 10 years with Snyder's he also helped refit the "Bluenose II" and "Theresa Connor" along with many other ships.

Warren has a great interest in music; he is a member of the LaHave River Rambler Square Dancers, and the South Shore Ukulele Players. His musical talent has led him to be a member of "Uke Mates" playing at local nursing homes, halls, and churches. He is also the proud owner of a Bridgewater made Pelkey Guitar.

Warren joined the team at Nature's Reflections Landscaping in the early part of 2008. Boasting a great personality and attitude Warren is the Team Leader for NRL'S mowing and property maintenance team.

Andrew Watson

Andrew was born in the small town of Windsor, NS. Andrew graduated from Windsor Regional High School in 1991. Andrew then graduated in 1995 with a Diploma in Ornamental Horticultural from Nova Scotia Agriculture College, Truro. Soon after his graduation he moved to Bridgewater and has since worked at Pine View Farm and the Chester Golf Course as their head horticulturalist. In 2008 Andrew joined the team at Nature's Reflections Landscaping.

While living in Bridgewater for the past 13 years, Andrew has been actively involved in the community. For the last 12 years his community service has allowed him to be part of the 2nd Maitland Scouts as a Leader. Andrew also volunteers for the Bridgewater Curling Club as a junior instructor, and presently coaches his own junior boy's team.

Andrew's knowledge and expertise of plants has been a very beneficial experience for NRL's clients. His love and desire for the landscape and horticulture industry is something Andrew looks forward to sharing with you.
